Not only did David Bowie and Mike Garson perform Wild Is The Wind and Life on Mars, Bowie received the Online Pioneer Award and BowieNet won Best Artist Site at the Yahoo Internet Life Online Music Awards.

Although they did not win in their categories, other nominees at the event were Teenage Wildlife for Best Fan Site, NetAid for Best Live Online Music Event and Reeves Gabrels for Best Online Album. This event was filled with "Bowieness"!
